Friends,Most of you know by now that Zoeann and I have published our book, Vietnam Our Father Daughter Journey . You have supported us in this wonderful and powerful endeavor.Thank you!In this busy Holiday season, all who could joined us in NYC for our December 6th, photography exhibit and publishing party. More than 150 showed up, helped celebrate and bought books; for yourselves and as gifts. On December 20th our Saratoga Springs neighbors and friends joined us at The Parting Glass Irish Pub for a hometown celebration; and we sold even more books.For those who were not able to celebrate with us, the book is for sale several ways, on Amazon.com; Borders.com and directly through Murphy Associates. This blog is our way of saying thanks for the support, including you in the development of this project and a heartfelt invitation to share your thoughts, reactions and perspective on what we show and say.I believe the best learning is continual, through dialogue and with respect for what we hear. Please offer your personal comments on what you found in our book, similar experiences, questions and ideas for how we can distribute it further. Also, please email this blog to anyone who you think may be interested.We have a strong story to tell.In order to speak for peace we need outlets. Please help us locate and reach out to the reporters, commentators and electronic and internet media outlets; colleges and communities where can speak and share this book.We will be bringing our photography exhibit to Albany on February 2nd, to the College of Staten Island after that and are looking for additional venues. One professor from the City University of New York (CUNY) is considering using our book as a text for her, Fall 2007, History of the 20th Century course. We are discussing publication in Vietnam and are offering the book, free, to the Veterans Administration PTSD programs through their Vet Centers.We are also looking for individuals willing to purchase copies to donate to veterans and peace groups, schools and libraries.Mostly, we request your ideas. Great job Da and Zoeann! The book is wonderful. Reading it through a second time with an objective view, I was able to really appreciate the book for it's beauty and intriguing stories. Of course I am so very proud of you both, but the book really is a great piece of work. It is passionate, honest, and informative- addressing the personal effects of war that many overlook. Thank you for producing a book which is a pleasure to read.
